Land and property represent Perseus’ core business and we are experts at managing the inherent risks required to deliver bespoke property solutions for our operating partners.
Our appetite for calculated risk taking is reflected in Perseus’ willingness to acquire land and property with or without planning permission, often within tight timescales. The team is also able to tackle larger development sites, where healthcare uses are sometimes individual components of mixed-use schemes being developed by Perseus and the other specialist development companies within the Barwood stable.
Perseus is financially backed by Barwood Capital Limited, a real estate investment manager that only invests in and develops UK regional property. It has invested in more than £250 million of regional property assets and currently has funds available for investment in new projects. Perseus and Barwood Capital share headquarters in Northampton, ensuring that the decision making and funding process is fluid and efficient.
Perseus is extremely flexible in how it procures its projects, depending on what its operating partners ultimately want, and can deliver bespoke leasehold and freehold ‘turnkey’ development solutions as well as land with the benefit of planning permission. Similarly, not all of the companies and individuals it acquires land from want or need a capital receipt at day one, and Perseus is therefore very happy to consider joint venture development agreements on a case-by-case basis.
In essence, calculated risk taken at the front end of the process, and flexibility at the back end form the very bedrock of what Perseus does.
Whether you are a healthcare operator on the expansion trail, a land owner or property agent looking for a purchaser or partner, Perseus has the skills and knowledge to facilitate your expansion plans to maximise the value of your land and property assets.
